Drinking water abroad for toddler

Hi everyone,

We are taking our 1yr old on her first holiday next month to Greece. Naturally we/she won't drink the tapwater. My first thought was just to use the bottled mineral water we would drink but I have read on a few websites toddlers should not drink mineral water due to levels of sodium and other certain minerals.

I recall last time I was in Greece you could buy bottled 'table' water in some supermarkets but I have no idea if this would be safe for a toddler and not cause stomach upset.

Any tips from experience appreciated!

Babies can have the bottle water which has special symbol on it. I know Evian is suitable so maybe look on a bottle of it to find the symbol.

Have you checked the place you’re going is definitely not ok in terms of tap water? Much of the main tourist areas have drinkable tap water these days.

If it’s not, if you look up the levels that are safe you can then check the bottles for info. Use google translate app if you need. Or look up a few Greek brands in advance.

Look at the levels printed on the bottle, the symbol is Na, there are low sodium bottled waters.
