Personally, as a thirtysomething I do yoga once a week and it keeps me bendy enough to do sports without injury and mentally balanced enough to not be so stupid as to do the more dangerous activities (why would you if you have kids who depend on you?).

So there... [smiley with tongue stuck out]

Aye, extreme ironing does enough of an adrenaline rush.....

Once you give up a sport it is very difficult to go back to it as your muscles are just not there any more. I used to play rugby and would love to play again but I know the front row of a scrum is not a welcoming place to be! Know your limitations is my motto!
I am playing cricket later this year for the first time in over a year but that is a little more sedentary, unless I come up against an 18 year old whippersnapper of a fast bowler out to impress..

Ok - so what's she saying then?

Lets all sit about and watch our bellies hang over our belts and lose sight of our balls for the rest of our lives?

No thank you sireee - i will still enjoy going to the gym and keeping fit through lots of activities until i am too old to bend over without making a grunting noise.

I am a well-built man and the missus abslolutely loves it. She loves to watch the women drooling at the swimming pool - don't let the buggers fool you - they may like to take the mickey out of our sporting obsessions, but they still like to perv over a fit body.............
