I locve my dh actually - and the tiems when he drivesm em up the wall it isnt beayse he is MALE or my DH or the father of my DC it is because of his character. So even if I wasn to have a bash at him it wouldnt be man bashing just abashing

omg I am sooooooooooooooooooo tired

Thing is, if people dont speak out against such things, then folk will continue to think it is an acceptable thing to do, and it is most definitely NOT acceptable.

Kevlarhead · 16/07/2007 00:27

bored now...

HappyDaddy · 16/07/2007 12:19

I'm glad I missed that one!

Some men are out of order and women need to get it off their chests often if they tell their dh's how they feel they get moaned at for nagging. My bloke in particular can be a pita at times but on the whole he is fab i try not to whinge as i see many women on here have to put up with much worse than i do. If they don't have much or any support they need to let it out somewhere.

It's unfortunate that all men get put in the same catorgory at times but really you know as well as i do that not all women think badly of all men, try not to take it personally i'm sure it isn't meant personally.

Kewcumber · 16/07/2007 12:39

I think a thread (like the second one Pan linked) complaining about your DP/DH/DW doing somethign rubbish and moaning about it is just fine and people piling in to commiserate and go one up is OK. A general thread (like the OP one)about the rubbishness of men is not OK.

manuka · 16/07/2007 21:04

The thing is this is "mums"net, a place where the majority of people are women and there's always someone pissed off with their husband so its going to be a very common topic unfortunately.
Start a dadsnet if it bothers you that much.

LordPan · 16/07/2007 22:19

Well, as REBEL, Me, VVVQV,and Kew have said already, 'express disatisfactions with your dh/p, but please do not condemn an entire gender for those failings as you see them.' 'tis all. Doesn't "bother me" that much. just a bit yawny.

It is a bit yawny, but years of enduring inequality will take a lot more watering down I'm afraid.

But, yes, yawny. And incorrect.

skyatnight · 17/07/2007 13:09

This one's a bit more complimentary (mostly):

skyatnight · 17/07/2007 13:18

Or is that just patronising? (We should appreciate men as individuals not just sex objects).

manuka · 17/07/2007 17:43

My dh is F**KING BRILLIANT! He's a brilliant dad, he cleans the kitchen and he's great at discussing "issues" AND he's (imo) the sexiest man on the planet!!! Deeeeeeeelicious!!!!!
Oh and he's an osteopath so I get massages when in need ha ha ha!
