Any ideas for a good " i'm thinking of you and here for you" present?

Thats not too sentimental or soppy and quite subtle and blokish?

Boyfriend has had a traumatic week and i want to give him a token of love.

Not more than 30 quid of my love though.

fairyfly · 02/08/2006 11:46

ah

wonder if there's something similar to the refinery (london) there? not very blokish i'll grant you, but they do treatments for men. e.g. 1/2 hr de-stress indian head massage for £38

Tutter · 02/08/2006 11:47

alternatively, a four pack and a curry

fairyfly · 02/08/2006 11:49

hmmmm, maybe that is a good idea, will look into it

IME men tend to be less than properly appreciative of this kind of token - I always find spoiling him for the evening (ie i pay for takeaway and a DVD of his choice) goes down better than an actual gift.

(and never underestimate the revitalising power of sex - nothing says 'I love you' more than doing something he really likes but rarely gets because you find uncomfortable and/or tedious)

how about a little book of vouchers (home-made) along the lines of ''this voucher entitles the bearer to...
''whatever he wants for dinner
a foot massage
a bj!
2 hours' control of the tv zapper
etc etc

I have already been through the ruderies to cheer him up, had a take away, watched a film, all good on that front. Told him he has a big willy he has a wonderful body, he's a real man, he can have the remote as we dont live together. I cannot actually keep my hands off him when i see him, so to be honest it wouldn't make it any different.

He has lost one of his best mates and the night he found out we kissed for hours.

I just want to get him a gift, he has spent the week breaking the news to everyone, he has organised a big night out for everyone to meet in honour and i just want to give him a little present on the night. Quietly, while he is socialising and being strong, just so he knows i am there.

do you have a pic of his friend you can put in a frame? might not be the best time to give it to him though

fairyfly · 02/08/2006 12:00

I don't think he'd like that, sorry but he would laugh and find it a bit weird, just the way he is.

perfect! (unless he's a leeds fan, of course )

SherlockLGJ · 02/08/2006 19:10

Aw FF you are lovely.

However are you trying to tell me that a book of shoite poetry never crossed your mind. ?

fairyfly · 02/08/2006 19:13

When i present him with the tickets i shall recite a poem of love and death, the beauty and the pain.

I don't think.

Hope he feels better soon.

fairyfly · 02/08/2006 19:18

He's alright, just quiet, needs to get to the bottom of it all i reckon, thanks.
