Lighter weight e-bike

I might be asking for the impossible here, but I've currently got a Trek step through e bike and it is around 25-27kg so a bit of a beast and too long and wide on the handlebars to fit in our bike shed!
I'm looking for a smaller frame (I'm around 5'6") and a lower weight bike. I live in a very hilly part of the world so still need a bit of umph to get up the hills! Any suggestions?

We have MiRider fold up bikes (wanted them for use without campervan ...) they weigh around around 17kg and we have done some very pretty steep hills with no problem ...

I have an Orbea Vibe. Depending on what size you get they're between 15 and 17kg in weight so a lot lighter than the Trek.

What kind of distance are you doing and how hilly is it? I don't have any problem with hills on mine and i'm in Yorkshire!

That's great thanks for the recommendations. I'm doing around 20k at a time around twice a week if I can do - Yorkshire here too so mega hilly!
My other half uses it too for short commutes/social - I'm more into riding for exercise.

Have a look at Ribble. They have an e-Hybrid that is sub 15kg. Or if you are going to be riding on the road mainly, then out and out e-road bikes get down to about 11kg at the higher end, but the position on a road bike is somewhat different to a step through!

I've got a Colnago E-GRV gravel bike that's about 11kg. I think it's one of the lightest E bikes around. Orbea and Ribble have road bikes that are a broadly similar weight. Everything that light is carbon fibre though which obviously is a bit pricier. Orbea and Ribble both do aluminium framed E bikes that are relatively lightweight and not as expensive. They'll be a good 10kg lighter than your current bike I'd think, so definitely worth a look.

Just be careful with the ebikes which are advertised as lightweight the battery is often smaller so the range is a lot less. I’ve just bought a Liv Vall e+ which is 19kg and has a full size battery and motor.

I ride a Tern Vektron which is not particularly light, but has a very good Bosch motor and good range. It very adaptable for people of differing sizes and is a folder, so easily stored. We ride in the Peak District (25% hills locally!) so copes well with hilly terrain.
