Would like to take dd1 but wondering if it might be a bit traumatic?

It's a bit shocking at the start/end with the gunshot etc - how much will the music move her? Will she howl all the way home or skip out saying "that was good mummy". The language is pretty fruity though.

Have you listened to the soundtrack? If not, you can listen to it for free on spotify if you don't want to buy it and then you can pretty much make up your own mind as every child is different.

Not sure it is the best show to start someone off on - or does she go to the theatre a lot? Having said that, I am the mother that too Ds to see Jesus Christ Superstar when they were about 9/7. Ds2 was totally unimpressed (his views on theatre have never changed) but DS1 (now 19 and at Uni) was literally sobbing at the end and so upset the usher came up to him and assured him he "wasn't really dead". . We went to see Wicked last week - now that is something I would recommend!

Yes, I would say she would be a bit too young. Have seen it a couple of times and also watched some cast members do a children's workshop.

Some fruity language, a hold up in a petrol station and domestic violence from what I recall.

Fantastic show though.
