Remember friends 3 year old wandering through allotment singing "oh Sandy.......Oh SANDY....Maybe someday when......." spooky but sweet

I'm not gone on Grease actually... not quite yet

DD loved Annie at 18 months, Sound of music at 2, Seven Brides for seven Brothers at two and a half. Chorus line at three. We lived in fear that she would give a rendition of Tits and Ass at nursery. Her first musical was Cats at three and Les Mis. She is on stage now by the way.

dd2 (big musical lover unfortunately) just loved Calamity Jane

dd2 was given Grease when 6 (and is in fact watching it right now). I found it a little inappropriate although the sex references just went over her head.

Cats the stage show is atrocious.

DD and DS love Mamma Mia (not a classic musical but fab songs)

Les Demoiselles de Rochefort
Definitely:
Meet me in St Louis
Bedknobs and Broomsticks
Singin' in the Rain
You might be able to get a copy of Ingmar Bergman's The Magic Flute in France - it's not available in Britain

What? No High School Musical?

snooks · 08/09/2008 20:50

The Aristocats is absolutely brilliant, has fantastic songs and great animation.

Second the Jungle Book (whilst I'm on a cartoon musical theme )

Lady and the Tramp is also excellent isn't snooks
The Slipper and the Rose (if you can stomach Gemma Craven and Richard Chamberlain) is quite sweet
