Has anyone seen this, either in London or in their local theatre?

I missed this when it last came to Glasgow and would love to see it in London, any reviews would be appreciated.

PS How spooky is it?

I've seen the London one twice and it is absolutely brilliant. It's amazing how scary it is. Very basic set, very basic special effects but the atmosphere is terrific. At one point the entire audience screamed. I definitely recommend it.

Ditto to MummyDoIt.
Saw it 10 years ago, very effective and scary.

MummyDoIt · 28/06/2008 11:51

My 15 year old nephew saw it with his school earlier this year and he was impressed too. Bear in mind that he's of the generation that takes impressive CGI special effects completely for granted. He agreed that it was very scary!

christywhisty · 03/07/2008 22:03

Very very scary, specially if your pregnant!

nancy75 · 03/07/2008 22:05

seen it 4 times and been really scared every time!

Booboobedoo · 03/07/2008 22:05

Saw it a couple of years ago: I was pregnant, in fact.

Fantastic: what everyone else said.

PootyApplewater · 03/07/2008 22:07

The scariest thing I have ever seen on stage.

Saw it in the West End 15ish years ago with John Duttine (sp?).

Saw it last year in Darlington.

Still terrified me!

It's fantastic - don't sit on the front row if you're of a nervous disposition.

Campaspe · 05/07/2008 08:28

I'd have to agree with all the previous posters. No special effects, but old-fashioned and spooky story telling. THere is one bit that makes everyone in the theatre scream! Go see it!!!

constancereader · 05/07/2008 08:29

I would love to see this too, the book is absolutely brilliant.

Grrlscout · 05/07/2008 14:01

Really well done. There's a scene in it that gave me nightmares for a week after I saw it... no gore, just lots of atmosphere and no attempt to explain or create a Hollywood sort of ending.

RTKangaMummy · 05/07/2008 14:05

Kangaboy went to see this with his yeargroup {year 8} so they are 12/13 years old

And he thought it was deffo brill too

RTKangaMummy · 05/07/2008 14:06

They saw the London Production

Bainmarie · 05/07/2008 14:06

It is great, also very, very scary.

UnsafeRambler · 06/07/2008 00:24

I saw this about 12 years ago in London.

One of the best theatre shows I've seen. Very basic props but extremely well done.

Read the book and seen the film. Prepare to be on the edge of your seat!

twinsetandpearls · 06/07/2008 00:32

I saw it in London also about 12 years ago and it is one of my favourite theatre memories, I did scream

tomatoskins · 06/07/2008 00:53

really good , hard to imagine how 2 people on stage can generate more tension than all those computer-generated films/special fx. But they do.

MARGOsBeenPlayingWithMyNooNoo · 06/07/2008 01:08

love it love it love it.

scared the hell out of me though.

Fantastic duologue.
