Has anyone seen this at the National Theatre and, if so, do they think it would be suitable for an 11 year old boy?

I loved it but my children would have been bored. One of those things where it really depends on the 11-year-old in question - sorry, probably not a completely helpful answer.

Well he is a great football fan so that’s why I thought of it.

I took my just 12 year old and we both enjoyed it. The story is interesting and the staging is great. It has an interval so we stocked up on sweets then to see us through

I’ve seen it (a while back though and the ending has been updated since) and there were more blokes/young men/kids than usual in the theatre because of the footie theme. I enjoyed it, nothing unsuitable that I can recall. It’s about tenacity, overcoming your fears, having one another’s backs etc so pretty suitable IMO for a younger person.

I took my 25 year old, football mad son to see it. He enjoyed it but, tbh, I think he would rather have watched a real game on the TV at home

But the National at night is quite spectacular. We were out on the balcony at half time, taking photos of the river and St Paul's and we had dinner at Wagamamas before the show, which was also fun. So it was a good evening

There are much better James Graham plays, but it is very accessible if you like footie or even if you don't.
