I saw this in London on Tuesday and it's FANTASTIC!!! BAsed on the book by Susan Hill, performed by 2 actors and loads of props. Somewhere in Covent Garden (can't remember the name of the theatre )

Never been so scared at the theatre before!

My bf recommended it as he had seen it before and had warned me it was scary but I never expected to jump so much.

The original book is reeeeaaaallly creepy!! Hard to imagine that you can get so freaked out by the written word but I can absolutely recommend it if you're into that...

not seen it. but ds(16) has and said it was brilliant

Before I saw it couldn't imagine how I could be scared in the theatre.

But was amazed- went with my mum who screamed outloud at one point.

I saw it years ago, when it first went onto the West End, and it scared the living daylights out of me. Even thinking about it now has the hairs standing up on the back of my neck.

Very, very effective.

It's at the Fortune Theatre on Russell St, just off Covent Garden and it's brilliant! It's hard to imagine how two men and no special effects can be so scary in this day and age but it is!

saw this back in the day - it's great that it's still going strong.

I saw this when i was pregnant with DS .Jumped out of my skin and bit DH on the arm. Then stupidly read the book and it gave me nightmares which I very rarely have.

Read this book in a remote farmhouse in County Donegal in about 1990. There was a peat fire and miles of countryside, no other houses for miles. My mother was staying there and I read that book with the wind screaming round the house - terrifying!

Then I saw the play in London with my sis and binlaw. They left that night and I had to sleep in my flat alone. I put all the lights on and remember barely sleeping a wink. It's so strange how scary that story is and I can barely remember it!
