I have borrowed a student violin, to find my way round it. dd1 wants to learn and I want to be able to help her
I have so far replaced a string and tuned it I think

I have a spare string, and it is labelled "4th" - is this the G string?

more stupid questions may follow

Honestly harpsi....with all that lugging around of your harspichord, you'd think you'd have picked up some of this on your own....

I played the violin for 8 years - my biggest regret is giving it up

It is abeautiful instrument.

tegan · 09/03/2008 10:38

I played for many years but gave up in late secondary school but dd1 (9) is now learning and it is all coming back to me very quickly.

I don't think so, I don't hear good things about it.
I am going to talk to a teacher this week

harpsi how did I miss this?
I could even have lent you a violin

the G string is the fattest, lowest one and is on the left when it's under your chin
