Ds 11 wants to watch this as they are doing second world war at school and have discussed this.

Is the film going to be OK for him, he is really into films and doesn't get upset by gore or stuff but I wondered if it was perhaps to emotional a film or something?

Well, it is sad- but in a 'girly flick' kind of way.

The story is mainly centered around three characters- two best friends and a young woman who falls in love with both of them.

Its a good film- the content very much depends on how mature he is I suppose.

(It was on TV tonight and I cried like a baby, but i am very emotional at the mo)

sorry - apart from the two friends and the woman- the film is obviously also centred around the attack on pearl harbour. Silly me.

Its very good.

It is one very dull, poorly-acted, ridiculous film that has the added tedium of being about 3 hours long.

I cried for those hours of my life I wasted watching it and can never get back.

And 11-year-old will be beyond bored by it.

Oh well I will let him bore himself and get on with something else perhaps
