I would if anyone ever performed locally and it wasn't during the day [grr] dd1 wants to see Midsummernights dream and when it came locally it only did day time performances when she was at school.

Really hoping that Bristol run their usual outdoor Shakespeare festival, because if they do some performances in Queen's Square, DH and I can take DD (nearly 6 months)and hopefully she will fall asleep in her pram!

Knew this would be you Beety

I agree - cracking tales of ghosts, murders, love gone wrong, subterfuge, humour...

I wanted to take the boys to the Globe this year but Othello is hardly suitable!!! (although ds1 did ask to see that one specifically!)

Macbeth?

Quite right, we used to go to the open air theatre at Regents Park in London, great for kids, and I fully intend to take mine when they're old enough. Any theatre is good, I think

My eldest loves it, we also watch the rewriten type things (I have the BBC series on DVD, some are suitable for kids) and then we talk about the way its still relevant. i think its fab for them though might skip othello and Macbeth!. Not a lot of live stuff here though, sadly.
