Good one CT10. Love that film.
Lord of the Rings of course, but you have to watch all 3.
Think they are my all time favourite's.

Rhubarb · 22/02/2007 21:29

The Colour Black.

ELF1981 · 22/02/2007 21:29

I dont know if anybody would have seen it, but The Story of Us.

A fab film about relationships, seeing things through anothers eyes. I watched it at the cinemas and cried my eyes out, still gets me at the ending. Fab film.

DH insists people should watch the original Romeo and Juliet, I prefer the newer one.

Not a film, but if they ever changed this play to a film, it's worth a watch "Deep Blue Sea" - not to be confused with the shark film as I did once which resulted in me being thoroughly disappointed to see sharks eating people as opposed to raw emotions about a relationship break down!

L.A. Confidential. Wonderful story, great cast, sub zero style, iconic cars and quite possibly the best performance of Russell Crowe.( Insider excepted)

NbgsYellowFeathers · 25/02/2007 13:01

Leon
Jean de Florette / Manon des Sources
Sound of Music
Mary Poppins (for the feel good factor)
Fifth Element
Dances with Wolves
The Good, the Bad and the Ugly
Officer and a Gentleman (for a man in uniform!)

ipanemagirl · 28/02/2007 14:24

Night of the Hunter
Don't Look Now
The Godfathers I and II

yellowrose · 28/02/2007 14:38

Shawshank Redemption - for feel good factor to give you hope in life.

The Godfather 1 & 2 (3 only if you find Andy Garcia as sexy as I do) - makes you feel miserable but you will begin to appreciate the most brilliant, charismatic actor alive, Al Pacino !

yellowrose · 28/02/2007 14:41

If you liked LA Confidential...

see China Town (Jack Nicholson when he was sexy and a good actor and Faye Dunaway when she didn't look like a prune and was a top class actress - circa 1967) which it has copied in style.

An underrated film in my view.

speedymama · 28/02/2007 14:59
