I have just booked some great seats for the ballet on Sat 23rd Dec (2pm) for the Nutcracker at the Royal OPera House . I went last year with DD's (they were 6 and 4 then) and they LOVED it. The building is beautiful, the production fab amd if you book in the Upper or Lower Slips the price is not bad (£11 a ticket or less) the view maybe slightly restricted, but we sat there last year and could see evrything bar oone tiny bit (which I didn't know I missed til I saw a DVD of teh production!!)

If you have little allet loving girls I would highly recommend this as it is such a special treat and the theatre itself is all gold and pretty (v cultured) it makes it even more special IYKWIM

Tickets went on sale 12th Spet but there are some good priced (eg not expensive) ones available, as main advertising hasn't started yet!!

I used to go and sit in the slips when my sister and I were their age - it was even cheaper then.

Agree Crunchie, we went to see the Royal Ballet's Nutcracker last December and have been taking dd to see various productions for the last few years (she's 9 now).
One of the best was in last years Frederick Ashton season "Ondine" starring Edward wotsit who's recently become the Principal Dancer.
This year we're going to see Coppelia at half-term.

ooh I'm taking DD to see this at Blackpool Opera House(!)

£25 a ticket (gulp) but DD is free, 3 rows from the front, in the centre.

Can't wait
