Theatre for 3/4 year old

Hiya. My son will be 4 soon and was thinking for his birthday to take him and a couple of my friends and their children to see Cinderella, 1 of who will be 3 soon.
Is this too soon to be taking them to the theatre. He saw Ben and Holly's little kingdom this year and enjoyed that but this is will be longer and I'm not sure if they will be entertained and engaged enough to sit still

Any thoughts?

Is it Panto? If so, they are often pretty long.

Shows like Gruffalo and Room on the Broom are good for that age

Yep it's a panto. I thought so but wasn't sure

I started my 2 DDs off by taking them to panto. The very first year I took my DD1 I only took her to the amateur one in town - if I had to leave then it wasn't too much wasted ££ or time. She loved it. :)

The year after (when she was about the same age as your DS, I took her to a bigger (and far better panto). I've taken DD2 since she was 3 along too. She would sometimes whisper about something into my ear and inevitably end up sitting on my knee, but she always behaved nicely.

The fab thing about starting with panto is that it's colourful, noisy and interactive. And I always make sure to get up and get an ice cream or a drink in the interval and to do a loo trip. :)

DDs are 9 and 12 now and I still take them to panto every year - 2 different ones actually!

And we've progressed to going to bigger and more 'grown up' things. Last ones were Joseph (which they loved) and Phantom.
