Hello all, please forgive me for a shameless plug, but it is all for charidee and no profits to be made by anyone.

The concert is on Sat 1st July at St James's Church, Piccadilly and is basically a memorial for the July 7th bombings, in particular Laura Webb, who was the sister-in-law of a very good friend of mine who has organised the concert in her memory.

Details & booking are here

What we can't say on the publicity material, thanks to the meanies at the LSO (where she's playing the Bruch the next night), is that the violin soloist is Sarah Chang, who is just unbelievable, world famous, fabulous etc.

It's a beautiful programme - Barber Adagio for Strings, Bruch Violin Concerto and Elgar Enigma Variations.

Just in case anyone fancies it. We have no publicity budget so we're spreading info via word of mouth.....and for me that def involves Mumsnet!

MrsJohnCusack (was arfy - pesky name changers I hear you say!)

sorry to say I didn't think of you Californifrau

It was fab Harpsi. I loved every minute of it, I thought we played really well, my big solo went well, Sarah Chang was amazing, loads of people came and a lot of money was raised - my friend was thrilled as were the family.

However I am very sad as that's my last big orchestral concert in the UK and now I have to start all over again in NZ with No Friends and No Playing
