The Jungle Book comes wonderfully to life on stage this Christmas in the Birmingham Stage Company's magical, musical production. Rudyard Kipling's classic has broken all box office records at Birmingham's Old Rep and is delighting children all over the country on its current sell-out UK tour.

Don't miss out on the well-loved story of Mowgli, the boy who is raised in the jungle by a family of wolves. When Shere Khan the tiger swears to kill the child, Baloo and Bagheera agree to take the boy to the man village. But the jungle holds dangers and surprises for them all - and Mowgli's adventure has just begun! Early booking is essential to see Mowgli and friends and if you book before 30th November, tickets are only £10!

if this is the production that was on in Brighton earlier this year - I took DD (4) and she was enthralled. However, it was not at all like the Disney one, no cuddly big Baloo singing 'bare necessities', and some of the songs were quite graphic - eg the wolf pack leader is getting old and he misses his prey so the younger wolves are going to strike him down - so they all sing a song that seemed to go, "He missed his kill NOW HE MUST DIE!!!" (or at any rate that's how I remember it).I would strongly recommend it, thought it was great, but agree that children ought to be warned!
