Drink driving reported

Hi, I reported someone for drink driving on 999 yesterday, but the police weren't quick enough to pick him up. This is a regular thing, he is drinking and driving everyday. Do I have to report each time or will they have a flag on his car now?

Thanks

The call will be logged and intelligence submitted, but it will be better to report it each time they are out driving whilst intoxicated.

Looks like we were just not quick enough or no units available yesterday

Report each time if you can. You could also contact the 101 service (I'd do it online) of you know regular times and routes they would be driving after drinking.

A single 999 call won't be enough for a flag to be put on the vehicle - at present it's uncorroborated intelligence.

Do you have a local community team it’ll also be worth speaking to them especially if there is a pattern to the time they DD. In addition to the 999

Thank you all, that's really helpful. There is a pattern so will report to 101 and the local police. Really appreciate the advice.

How do you know he's drunk

How do you know he's drunk

I know he is drinking 3 or 4 bottles of wine a day so we’ll over limit plus the day I called the police he fell out the front door before getting in the car.

If he's (or she's) alcohol dependant the GP is supposed to tell DVLA, although mine refused. You could just call them yourself?

I had no luck with the police in these circumstances.
