I don't know if I've been scammed?

Okay, so I entered a competition with a company called flawless makeovers. They informed me I'd won the runner up prize. So, instead of getting a full makeover for me and my friend for free, I just have to pay £20 to have a manicure, hair, makeup, photoshoot etc etc. So I did because why not? It's a really good deal. They then asked if I wanted to pay an extra £20 to have a massive photo of me and mate instead of two, smaller, individual ones. So, of course, I said yes. They then asked if I wanted to bring two more people for just £20, to which I said yes. They asked which studio I wanted, so I picked leeds, and they gave me booking numbers, full details and everything. It all sounded very legit, even the guy on the phone. However, they then asked if I wanted to refer a handful off people, and by doing so, they would get a discount on the same makeover for a limited time. So of course, I did. The people who didn't call them back or reply to the text are absolutely fine. The ones who did are saying that they've asked for money and were pushy about paying there and then. I don't know if that's because my my friends obviously rang up enquiring about it and it is a limited time discount, or if it is actually a scam. I'm really hoping it isn't a scam because I already paid the £60 and I was really looking forward to it. Does anyone here have any experience with this company or would anyone be able to offer some advice please?
Thank you.

I feel like 'flawless' rings a bell to me from years ago. As far as I can recall it's all legit but they really give you the hard sell to buy and certainly to pay for extras especially the photos from the photoshoot afterwards and really make it difficult to say no thank you.
Dont quote me on it but I'm 98% sure what you've paid for is legit. Just go being very prepared to say no and to not care by saying it either because people like this can make you feel rotten.
I hope I'm right in that it's not a scam and hope you have a lovely time

It also rings a bell to me that everyone 'wins' this competition. Its to lure you in to try and get you to spend spend spend afterwards. Say 'no thank you' in a way they know you mean it

Its not a scam as in there wont be anything there when you turn up.

It is a scam in that everyone wins. They make their money by selling you extras. As they have with you. On the day, you may find they are quite pushy about selling extras as well.

They also make money by you referring people and then they hope they can sell to those people.

From you 'winning' they hope to make money by selling you extras before, extras after and selling to whoever's details you gave.

The scam bit is the 'competition'.
