I know I should've asked when I was in there but my baby was being restless so I just wanted to get out

I went into my local police station this morning to report someone shouting abuse at me and vile emails (there is a lot more but all seems petty written down)

The man behind the desk wasn't the easiest to talk to but he has taken mine and the other persons details and given me a reference number.

I was wondering if anyone knew what happened next? My child is supposed to be going to their house again next week and I don't want to of made it worse for him. Will they contact me first to get more information or go straight to them? There was no physical altercation just them shouting.

Is this the baby daddy? You could phone 101 to get an update & explain your concern about your child going there (mention that you don't want to put your child at risk). They will explain what happens next or what has happened & advise you.

Police does not 'care' unless you are talking about drugs or racist issues (even fake racist reports, who would have thought?).

If you are really affected by this matter, discuss it with a NO win - NO fee lawyer. Keep evidence of your police reports and reference numbers. Keep details of everything, if you have the energy.

Situations like these really upset me: if you were rich, it would be done and dealt with in minutes. Different rule for the rest of the population.

Ring 101 and ask for an update. Ask if it's been assigned to an officer and what the next steps are. Usually a police officer wouldn't speak to the other party involved until they'd spoken to you as the complainant first.

Is this the slowest thread, ever? OP posted last year!
