How do I find out when someone is in court?

My exh is a lying cheating scuzz bucket. He owes me £10k in child maintenance. Then lost his job. So I have to chase him every week for £7.00 via CMS.

He emailed me out the blue to say he is awaiting sentencing and may have to go to prison. But he won't tell me what he's done and denies that he knows what court and when.

I will never get the truth from him so I want to go and hear it for myself.

Is there a court form or fee I can apply to get this information?

You can check the court roll for your local court, if he is appearing his name will be there. You would have to do it regularly though.

Of you know which court you can ask at the clerk's office.

You can call the Magistrates Court and Crown Court Listings Office and ask when he's due in court.

Thank you.
I know where he lives so I assume the local magistrates is a good place to start. Otherwise it's London centric and gawd knows.

If he is due say in next month at a magistrates - are they obliged to inform me?

Did you find out?

Yes but through spurious methods (someone broke their employment laws)
Otherwise I'd be utterly clueless. It turned out to be a serious crime and I'm glad I had opportunity to hear the truth spoken in court with my own ears.
