1 year ago my friend was spat on by her ex in the street, he spat on her and her baby. She reported this to the police the same day and the police spoke to her ex who denied it and no further action was taken.
Recently her cousin was talking to my friends ex on Facebook and told him how disgusting that was to spit on his cousin and her baby, she admitted he had done this. Can my friend go back to the police with this screen shot of her ex admitting to this?

Do you mean he admitted it?

That would be commom assault/battery, which has a 6 month time limit for prosecution in England & Wales.

Pointless as it’s past the 6 month time limit to be charged with a common assault.

The six month limit may not apply here as she's already reported it within this time frame.
If she has this evidence then she has nothing to lose in popping into the station with it.

Even if the police can't prosecute its still information they should know about in case he does something like that again. It makes any new offense more believable

No, it is a six month limit. I don't think the police can't have 2 bites at the cherry if a case has been filed off with no further action being taken as the decision for filing. Whilst it is disgusting, it is also a very low level offence.
