It's for my screenplay.

I expect it's just a bog standard rejection email from a receptionist, as hasn't come from email address of the agent i emailed it to.

I wasn't even expecting a 'feck off' this quickly. They must think it's an absolutely awful script, or they might've mulled it over a bit more. I don't want to open it as i know i'll be depressed for the whole day, if not the whole of Christmas.

come and give me moral support. I don't want to open it 'alone'!

I can hold your hand for the next 10 mins or so until I need to go out.
Will that help?

totalmisfit · 19/12/2008 13:17

i just can't do it.

perhaps i could forward it to dh without opening it.... is that possible? and then he could open it for me.

I am not feeling very brave.

jumpingbeans · 19/12/2008 13:18

i'm holding my breath!

BlueBumedFly · 19/12/2008 13:19

I don't think so, I just tried, clicked once on the email and hit forward and it opened the file,... you could always do it with your eyes closed or really screwed up?

sasamax · 19/12/2008 13:19

Won't it just be an acknowledgement?
Do they read them that quickly?

itcameuponamidnightexpress · 19/12/2008 13:19

o-pen, o-pen, o-pen

Go, on, I'm supposed to be working. I need some excitement.

totalmisfit · 19/12/2008 13:20

Bum.

I think they got completely the wrong end of the stick.

jumpingbeans · 19/12/2008 13:20

nickytinseltimes · 19/12/2008 13:21

Bugger.

Dh sent stuff for years before he got published, then he was on a roll.

Keep it up!

nannyeggnogg · 19/12/2008 13:21

Oh? Why?

BlueBumedFly · 19/12/2008 13:21

No, the agent I think. What did they say?

sasamax · 19/12/2008 13:21

go on...

totalmisfit · 19/12/2008 13:22

You know how you're supposed to put the name of clients they already handle, in order to give them an idea of the kind of thing you write...

well, I gave a name of a certain british writer/director and now they have apparently forwarded my email to him

which wasn't at all what i asked them to do. just shows how crap my communication skills are!

OP posts:
sasamax · 19/12/2008 13:23

aaaaarrrrrgggghhhhhh
who was it?

nannyeggnogg · 19/12/2008 13:23

Oh, know nothing about this kind of thing but is it possible they've decided to forward to him for his opinion or summat?

BlueBumedFly · 19/12/2008 13:23

Can you recontact them again and explain? Can you be super brave and phone?

nickytinseltimes · 19/12/2008 13:23

Oh!

Well, who knows what may come of it?

You don't need good communication skills to be a creative writer - that's why they have agents! Obviously they have poor interpretation skills.

totalmisfit · 19/12/2008 13:25

er... don't know if i should say...

anyone see This is England?

i suppose i could be brave and correct htem but i think it's fair to assume i've blown it.
