How do people find your website - have you mentioned it in your book somewhere...i.e. after about the author. I am hoping to publish my book just after Christmas and not sure how to link up my website other than mention it in my book.

Anyone?

At the end of your ebook you should have a link with a “call to action” to basically invite them to check out your other work. Usually this goes to your next book on Amazon but if you don’t have another book then a link to your website is a good idea. You want to get them to sign up to a mailing list so you can tell them about future work and the website is a good place to do that.

Plan what your website is for. The purpose of mine was to show agents I was serious and help them read my samples. I’ve actually just discontinued my website as I’m now going to selfpublish so I’d rather spend the money on facebook / amazon adverts.

Join the facebook group 20booksto50k and search previous posts, all your questions will have been answered somewhere there - just be careful before you post a question as they get grumpy if you ask a question that has already been answered.

Thanks skysblue, that is a thought provoking post. I suppose the purpose of the website might be to write blogs/post pictures relating to my book, so at least in some form I can keep writing, advertise my book, link to my other related on-line business - (still in the pipeline but hopefully happening next year), showcase a bit of artwork, be a work of art in itself.
