How do you stick to one idea?

Hi everyone I could do with some advice. I’ve always enjoyed writing and had a lot more confidence when I was younger in my ability. However now in my mid thirties and I always have this little voice while I write saying ‘this is rubbish, what are you doing, this is a waste of time’ etc etc.
Linked to this is the fact that I can’t stick to one idea. I have several ideas that I think are worth exploring, but I inevitably jump between them whenever I decide the one I’m working on is no good, only to go back to it a little later and repeat the process all over again.
Help! How do you decide which idea to go for and how do you tell that critical voice to f**k off??

I don't have the answer but at the moment i am going back over old snippets of writing and trying to tie them together somehow!! it's not ideal but it's better than nothing......

i tell the critical voice to feck off by reminding myself that not everybody likes the same thing. there will be someone out there who appreciates what you have to say, and how you say it.

What I do, is when I have an idea I briefly write the title if I can think of one, a short synopsis, and just brief details then I go back to my main book.

It is mostly about telling yourself to keep going, I honestly even now when I get reviews telling me how amazing my books are, I still read and think, no I can do better.

In a Facebook group for writers, authors are always saying, an Author always sees the bad in his work when readers will continue to praise it.

It isn't a bad thing, you just need to move past it.
