DD ( currently in England ) has the offer of a job in Trinity College Dublin !

but is in two minds to accept because of the possible accommodation difficulties

her ideal is under 1000€ for a spacious flat within walking distance ……

she could afford 1500€ ( or buy for up to 200k if her nannas money has come through )

she wants her own space and wants to minimise commute time - where would you look ? This is not about naice - it’s about safe and reasonable compromises

@Livingthebestlife I didn't say you said it . I said you agreed . Right back at you re: getting eyes tested . You know you can disagree with me without being nasty ?

And my OPINION is agreed with other posters . Get your facts straight . The Ukrainians are not the cause of housing issues .

Would she look over the border in Newry? It would be over an hour on the train but significantly cheaper rent.

Newry is becoming more popular. Cheaper rent and Express train on the hour to Dublin . The difference in quality for rent is amazing . Places like Maynooth , north Dublin and you are competing with students where landlords can rent multiple rooms .
