Private ADHD diagnosis NI

Thinking about having DD (18) assessed for ADHD. My DS has ADHD & ASD; they're v similar, but he wasn't coping with life so desperately needed needed assessment and was seen on NHS. However, DD has (for the second time) received disappointing exam results. She seems to find it REALLY difficult to focus/study/apply herself to anything at all. She has underachieved all her grammar school life....which is a classic trait. NHS wait will be 3-4 years and I'm thinking medication might help her in time for her final year of A-levels. It has been transformational for my son. Anyone have any recommendations for an assessment in NI?

Following with interest, we’re in NI too and my DD is very similar. Academic high flyer at a top grammar school who just physically cannot focus on work/sit down to study or apply herself to anything long term. Her grades are perfectly average but the common theme in all of her reports in recent years is that she could achieve so much more if she actually put in the effort - the issue is she just simply can’t. It’s at a stage now where even she recognises that an assessment and potential medication would be helpful. I can’t find anywhere private in NI though without a 6 month+ waiting list

Dr Richard Bunn is highly thought of, he works out of both Kingsbridge Hospital and Malone Medical Chambers in Belfast. He was recommended by my GP who was happy to do shared care with him, and his diagnoses were also accepted by the Adult ADHD Service once we got to the top of the NHS waiting list

His waiting lists are very long these days though, to the point they might be closed to new patients. And it's costly now too

Highland I have been offered an appointment as soon as 28/08 from Dr Anish (?) at ADHDASDDoctor. I have to say I'm a little suspicious and hesitant; having gone NHS with my son I'm a bit wary. They clain to be NHS endorsed and use NICE guidelines/QB test, but....how do I know they're legit??
