Nice hotels

Looking for hotel recommendations for a weekend away with DH.

  • Preferably no than an hour and a half drive from Belfast. (No desire to stay in Belfast - too close to home!)
  • Somewhere nearby nice to walk/dander.
  • Nice places to eat - either in the hotel or a nice wee town with decent cafes/restaurants.
  • At least 4*
  • Preferably around £200 per night.

Castle Leslie and Kileavy Castle both look decent and have availability if anyone has stayed in either recently?

Castle Leslie is fab, though it's more than 10 years since I stayed there.
Might be too close to home but we recently stayed in Ballygally Castle. Super comfortable, sea views, nice wee beach and walk along the seafront. Glenarm forest is just along the road.

Roe Park in Limavady
Slieve Donard (nice pool and spa)
Galgorm 💰💰
The Rabbit
Bishops Gate
Carton House (longer drive)
Ballymascanlon
Four Seasons Carlingford

I like Kileavy castle hotel in Armagh. 7 course tasting menu is to die for, about 40 mins from Belfast, the grounds are amazing to walk around and of course you have the spa and thermal suite too.

Thanks for the suggestions. Some are def outside our budget for this weekend away, but will keep in mind for the future. I actually really like the look of Four Seasons in Carlingford but can’t get their online booking to work - it says they reopen on March 1st, which is when we want to go, but can’t get it to give me those dates as options. Sounds like Castle Leslie or Kileavy are both good options so I’ll get DH to pick one for this time and keep all the other ideas for the future. Thanks all!
