Undertaker meeting

My DP passed away two weeks ago. They had a funeral plan in place and had stated their wishes regarding hymns, a poem they wanted and what type of coffin they had picked.
The undertaker knows all this but he says I need to see him for a meeting lasting about an hour and a half. I have met him before as he handled my other DP's funeral about five years ago.
I have an immediate family member who was shielding until it paused in August and two other people in my household who are classed as vulnerable.
We have been so careful going out, not even going inside to eat. We have got takeaway coffees and sandwiches though. We haven't visited anybody in their homes, just their gardens but that was only twice and we stayed two metres apart.
This feels risky to me or am I being overly cautious

He probably needs you to sign stuff. Ask him to do a phone or video call and then he can either scan the forms for you to print, sign, scan and send back or you can pop in for 10 minutes later in the day and just sign the forms for what you have previously discussed.

I'm sorry for your loss (sorry, I had thought it but not typed it in my first response).

Also, if you just don't meet him then he'll have to work around it. So don't ask if it's an option not to meet, because it gives him an opportunity to insist that it's necessary, just tell him you won't be meeting in person and suggest options that you're comfortable with.

Thanks, I did tell him about my circumstances and that it felt a bit risky but he said it would conducted safely.
I might leave it until the latest announcement and phone him and say I'm not comfortable with such a long meeting.

Don't say you're not comfortable coming in, that allows him to tell you that it's 'safe'. Say "I will not be coming in, we can discuss things on the phone and at the end of that I can come in for a couple of minutes to sign things." Then, when you go to sign be prepared to go back outside until the paperwork is ready so that you're not inside for more than the minimum time.

He needs to keep the process moving or he wouldn't be doing his job so he will have to go along with what you want.

Thank you, I will try that and see how it goes.
