Well we knew it was coming but still....
It's going to be a very long two weeks. Dying to see the list of 'essential' shops and services

@CalmdownJanet The whole sentence does say "...which may include children from your household...". So if your household is you, DP and four kids, you can all go for a walk together. If you meet your Mum and sister, you have to stay apart

CalmdownJanet · 30/03/2020 00:25

TheLongRider I knew the kids were ok, it was my husband I was questioning. My village facebook page had posted that ^ saying it was one adult from each household plus children (individual exercise may include children), they retracted it today to say it was a mistake. I just wanted to check so I wasn't getting evils from villagers if the four of us walked together Smile

I haven't been meeting anyone out of out house anyway so that didn't matter

What happens when the lockdown ends ?
Will those who haven't got Covid19 then get it ?
Will we be back to square one and have to have another lockdown ?

DD has already burst a football on brambles on the green at the front of the house. I only have 1 more left.

My DF went to the supermarket on Saturday, as they hadn't quite planned ahead (and couldn't get a delivery order for 6 days) so didn't have enough bread, milk and fresh veg. But they are now ok for everything for the next 2 weeks and DSiblings can drop things to their doorstep if needed as well.

It does seem to be taken seriously around us. Our street WhatsApp has done an order for the local bakery on Wednesday, which will be collected by 1 person and dropped outside the doors of the rest. And a mini 40th birthday was dropped outside 1 house this morning (half bottle prosecco, small box chocs, and a toilet roll with a big ribbon bow on it!! Grin ).

But there is so little movement outside - every single car was parked outside the houses on Saturday night, I had never seen the next cul-de-sac with every car there. A good few out walking individually but spaced out across the day.

I live just off a main road into Cork city centre and it's like Christmas morning every morning (and evening) since Saturday. Another thing that I noticed was the complete lack of sirens over the weekend. Usually it's a fairly regular thing most weekends.

Oh no woodies has closed and all my local hardware store. Really hoping I have enough paint for my latest project. Grin
I am meant to painting my room today but I opened my hot press and everything tumbled out so I'm clearing that. A lot of stuff is bedding from my DS. I cant use it anymore but I didn't want to throw it out. I am being ruthless and it's all going into the charity bin down the road from me.
I swear I'm not stalling because I hate painting. I am rubbish at it.

It's a shame the hardwate stores are closed but perhaps the smaller ones- owner occupier might be doing deliveries if that's allowed.
