If and when Brexit happens will Irish drivers have to get a special driving license to drive, when visiting Northern Ireland and Britain ?
Ive heard Irish government sponsored ads on the radio saying that people with UK driving licenses living in Ireland will need to get an Irish driving license if they want to legally drive in Ireland after Brexit.

No, that's not true.

The adverts are for people who live in Ireland with UK licenses needing to exchange them.

You can drive in Ireland on a US license, and in the UK. If you're on holiday, you're fine. If you're just crossing the border, you're fine.

There's another pass they've advertised as making it easier but there doesn't seem to be a legal basis for demanding it, it's all to do with insurance but documents will all still be in English so it's not something to worry about.
