Finally some humility from Jackson...

In a statement following yesterday's announcement, Jackson said his "behaviour has fallen far short of the values expected of me as an international rugby player" and that his "focus in the months and years ahead will be on rebuilding the trust placed in me by people throughout Ulster and Ireland."

I would imagine he was advised to do same.
He has come away from this totally tarnished.
Good enough for him because his arrogance was astounding

There are several multi-syllabic words in that sentence, which leads me to conclude that somebody else wrote it for him and he is just repeating it.

I would agree he didn't write it.
He appears to have zero insight into how appalling his behaviour was. He wouldn't voluntarily release a statement like that.
His solicitor threatening to sue people didnt help him either .

I think no matter what he says now it's too little too late and people know it's not genuine. It wouldn't surprise me if he'll go and play abroad for a couple of years then come back and do a couple of fake contrite interviews on shows such as the Late Late.

That's a good statement - from a good PR.

I totally agree wayyyyyyy too little to late.

And his behaviour falls far short of what I expect of a decent human being.

Plus his PR advisors (if he had any) are shite. Otherwise they'd have been all over this from day 1 - damage limitation needs to begin IMMEDIATELY - and I say this from a professional POV.

Although I feel very angry at the way the victim has been treated, I guess the fact that some or all of them will be having to leave the country may be some small consolation.

There is talk of him getting a contract with a French club...I do wonder if it's going to get to the point that he will sign on the dotted line but some teams are looking for players...why them though, I'll never know.

Just after hearing on the news that the French club has come out and publicly stated they are not looking to offer him a contract. That is an interesting turn of events.

English clubs might not take him but he'll get into a French club I suspect. Funny how he's all of a sudden repentant when he sees his career disappearing down the pan!
