Looking for a hotel for a two night honeymoon. Preferably with a pool. Not in Dublin. Any ideas?

Sheen Falls Lodge in Kenmare is lovely too.

A1Sharon · 09/09/2017 18:51

If you're in Belfast have you done the Bushmills Inn? It's wonderful!
Had a meal and few hours in the pub this summer, was absolutely fabulous.

Hotel Europe, Kerry. Lovely rooms and gorgeous spa (FAR and AWAY better than the one in the Park, Kenmare).

ILikTheBred · 10/09/2017 19:29

Hotel Europe definitely. Cliff house is lovely also. Ballyfin is nice but vastly overpriced and there is nothing around it. It does have a pool though. Dromoland is dreadful - very much trading on its history. It badly needs refreshing.

hollyisalovelyname · 11/09/2017 07:20

Hotel Europe is a great suggestion Ilikt

I'm desperate to try inis meain inismeain.com/suites just for a total escape.

Liadain · 13/09/2017 23:49

Fota island Resort is fabulous.

dubmumof2 · 13/09/2017 23:54

Fota or Castlemartyr....from Belfast to Cork would only be about 3.5-4 hr drive....

Mount Juliet...?

Another one here who wouldn't bother with Dromoland....:(

dubmumof2 · 13/09/2017 23:56

The Park over the Sheen Falls for a honeymoon ..... but Kenmare would be too long a drive from Belfast I would say...

I prefer the Sheen Falls to the Park

Onynx · 15/09/2017 18:12

Definitely not Castlemartyr - it's gone quite shabby, spa was grotty & service at meals wasn't great. Hotel Europe is fab, Hayfield Manor is also beautiful

A1Sharon · 16/09/2017 09:28

God I love Kelly's! Not for a honeymoon though...
What were you complaining about whosafraid? We had a faultless week in August.
