That's it, really. It's one thing I really miss from home. Cadbury's Caramel just isn't the same. Cadbury's Caramello it has to be...

Yep. Although I prefer a Moro Sad

sksk · 26/07/2016 21:22

Moro- haven't seen one in ages!

Boost bar is very like Moro (I think?) Are Caramellos still around? Nothing reminds me of home and being a kid more than Emerald sweets. My dad always had a pack squirrelled away in the car.

LokisUnderpants · 26/07/2016 21:44

Starbar is yer only man. I'm doing Atkins so no Starbars for me. SadEnvy

ShelaghTurner · 26/07/2016 21:51

I've conducted an in depth study lasting many years and while a Boost is good, it's not a Moro.

Starbars though. Oh yes!

DoesAnyoneReadTheseThings · 26/07/2016 21:56

Some Tesco's have a World Food section and they sell caramello! I love it!

feckthemall · 27/07/2016 19:20

Lovveee Carmellos but haven't had one in yonks. Starboard or a more dipped in tea mmmmmmmm.

sksk · 27/07/2016 19:23

Don't know Starboards but I do remember the pink Snack bars. I'll have to check out caramello in Tesco!

Caramello with tayto cheese and onion. Heaven in my mouth.

I thought Moro had been rebranded as Boost, hasn't it??

feckthemall · 27/07/2016 19:53

No I don't think that's right Kanye. Definitely 2 different yet similar bars.

KanyesVest · 27/07/2016 20:02

But...but..but...what about those boost bite things??? They definitely taste like Moros Confused and I haven't seen an actual Moro in yonks.

ShelaghTurner · 27/07/2016 20:22

In the blindfold taste test they came out decidedly different. I'll have to get my mother to bring some back on Friday. like hell she will

KP86 · 27/07/2016 20:29

Moros are similar to Mars Bars.

KanyesVest · 27/07/2016 21:29

Moros are similar to Mars Bars

Only in that they are both chocolate bars!

KP86 · 27/07/2016 21:33

Maybe Moros are different in the UK compared to in Australia.

Picnics are definitely different!

At home they are Cadbury's version of a Mars Bar. Not exactly the same but nougat, caramel layer and chocolate.

KanyesVest · 27/07/2016 22:11

Oh, that makes sense then! I think this should be a pic of our lovely Moro. I really want one now.

KP86 · 27/07/2016 22:30

Hmmm... can't tell if it's the same from the photo! I don't think I've ever looked inside. They come in the Favourites (Heroes) boxes and go into the mouth in one piece, haha!

FreedomIsInPeril · 27/07/2016 22:39

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moro_(chocolate_bar)

Irish moro is totally different to the Aus/NZ moro. The Irish Moro is sold in the UK as a Boost, and a peanut Moro as a Starbar. BUT, to confuse you, some shops in Ireland buy in chocolate from the UK as its cheaper, so you get Boost and Starbars as well as Moro and Peanut Moro.

Clear as fecking mud.

AGirlCalledJohnny · 28/07/2016 03:35

I miss cheese and onion crisps, Club Orange, chicken and stuffing sandwiches - Americans freaking SUCK at stuffing - and if the chocolate hasn't been made in Coolock then it can get te! Although I found UK Hobnobs recently. That was a good day.

ShelaghTurner · 28/07/2016 16:44

You've just described my favourite lunch - chicken and stuffing sarnie, bag of cheese and onion and a club orange! Mmmmm

ShelaghTurner · 28/07/2016 16:44

Or rock shandy

ShelaghTurner · 28/07/2016 16:44

Or red lemonade

squoosh · 28/07/2016 17:33

Moros of Ye Olden Dayes used to be a very different beast to the Boost. Now they're the same sadly.

But yes, I bloody love a Caramello.

AGirlCalledJohnny · 28/07/2016 20:20

You're fierce fickle Shelagh

feckthemall · 28/07/2016 21:03

I also love a golden crisp with a cuppa. My current phase though is twirls or aeros. Like club orange but finches is gorgeous altogether so it is!
