Hi

Hoping I'm putting this in the right place! Our first baby is due in 5 weeks and we have a very spoiled cat. We want to get a cat net for the cradle and cot, and I was just wondering whether anyone has used this from John Lewis? www.johnlewis.com/230415687/Product.aspx

I can't go and have a look at it as we moved to Australia five months ago! I'm interested in how it fits in the cot, whether it is 'adjustible' to fit into a cradle, and exactly how it works.

The only version I've found in Australia costs 3-4 times as much (www.babycribsafetynet.com/). We are going to call John Lewis to ask them about dimensions etc but I thought I'd see whether anyone here has any experience with this too.

Thank you!

We used something like this for our son's cot
www.babylandsa.com.au/Current/?curpage=ProductIndv&Product=1787&utm_source=getprice&utm_med ium=cpct
but with a higher dome, a bit like a net cake cover you would use to keep flies off food outside. Sorry can't remember or find the exact one but just got it at a baby emporium here in Aus. It is for mozzie protection but we couldn't find anything else that would work for us. It had a zip to gain access to bub but we just lifted the whole thing up at one end & hung it over a hook on the wall when we wanted to get bub in/out. Cat-specific nets are stronger & have different mesh size. Wouldn't fit a basinette tho. There are probably ones for that tho, & I have seen a Valco basinette that has a built in retractable cover which looks like the Sydney Opera House. Hope you find something!
