Wondering if anyone has had the shorty bunks can give their opinion as says online they only last until age 5?? I should have checked this before ordering.

I have 3 girls and 2 bedrooms. DD is just turning 4 and is currently on a cot bed (bed part not sides) sharing a sectioned room with my eldest. The wall on her side of the bedroom isn't long enough to fit a regular single bedframe so I've thought ahead and ordered a shorty bunk bed as my baby DD 3 months will soon need the cot back, but eventually in a couple years will need a big girls bed. By that time we may have moved house but I also needed the back up plan just incase we are still here. Other DD will be 6 by that point and now im worried she may be too big for the bunk anyway ?? Shes not tall or short for her age currently so hoping they'll both get some use out of it!!

I probably could have shortened this post but thought I'd explain the reasoning. We were planning on putting the bunks up today, now im unsure on what to do.

I have shorty bunk beds for grandchildren and they are a reasonable size, still used them as teenagers but just occasional use.
I think they are slightly narrower and shorter than a normal bunk (maybe 20cms or so?). So will probably depend on how big the children are and what your plan is when they are too big for them. The bunk beds only just fit into the very small room.
The issue I’ve had with them is getting sheets to fit and the duvet and pillows don’t always fit well. That is a slight problem for the upper bunk too as there’s too much bulk and it makes it a little difficult for the child to climb up into it.
Presumably you are restricted in space? If not, I think I would go for normal bunks which could be used as two singles in a different setting.
Depends on your future plans too.
Have a look at the product details from the retailer and compare with a single mattress dimensions.
