Sleeping bags for 2+ years?

Does anybody know anywhere I can get sleeping bags that go over 2 years? My 2 year old is currently in 18-24 month (up to 95cms) she is small but will soon outgrow these. I've tried and tried to get her to use a duvet but she treats the sleeping bags like a comfort item. She loves them. I have provided them to her to hold along with a duvet but she won't settle until she is wearing it. I know I should just be nipping this in the bud but I also have a 6 month old and have moved house so she has a new big room, has gone into a proper bed with rails and has had alot of change and right now I just need an easy life as although she sleeps well, my 6 month old is still nursing multiple times a night. I figured if I can get her out the sleeping bags by 3 when she understands a bit more that would be OK. Trouble is she is very soon going outgrow the ones I have and I cannot find any larger ones.

M&S.

rainbpwcupboards · 27/02/2023 14:01

Slumbersac

Skinnermarink · 27/02/2023 14:01

I don’t think M&S do the bigger ones actually- my gro bags say up to 36 months. Have you tried these and Slumbersack?

Skinnermarink · 27/02/2023 14:05

Having looked slumbersac go to 140cms, so find out tall she is but that length should be plenty to last her ages. I wouldn’t worry about using a sleeping bag if this is what she likes, there’s no law saying kids should sleep in a duvet.

Asda George

Won’t she need to get out of bed though soon for toilet?
My 2 year old stopped using around 18 months as outgrew ( he’s tall). I debated buying bigger size but glad I didn’t now as just over 2 year potty trained, and soon after wanted to be able to get in and out of bed to toilet himself.

I got some from John Lewis

Thanks for all your advice, I'll Google slumbersac and have a look in Asda and JL. Thats so clever of your son @Caspianberg but I think we are a while off her independently going to the toilet. She turned two at the beginning of February and she has only started going on the potty of a morning as she always goes around the same time and likes to inform us she is doing it! Whereas going for just a wee, she doesn't understand to tell us this yet. I've been told usually they do a wee on the potty first but she's been the other way! Even when fully trained I imagine she will still shout for us, she doesn't even try and get out the bed without us there of a morning.

@121gigawatts - Ds is a bit older as 3 in a few months. But either way, I think after 2 years a sleeping bag is a bit dangerous once they can get in and out of bed so are walking around. Ds would fly down the stairs

I don’t plan on putting the cot sides down until DS is over 3, but even so, slumber sac do them with legs free feet.

Great thanks loads of suggestions. Her bed has sides on and tall head and foot ends. She asks us to take it off when she's ready. First thing when she wakes me or dh do is go in and change her nappy, sometimes she wants to lay there for a bit just chatting away and she won't want to take it off but if she wants to get out the bed she asks us to take it off and get out. She holds the straps as she's going to sleep, sometimes sucks them this is why it's a comfort thing, never had a dummy, wouldn't take one, so no idea why she does this but she is obsessed with them. She is even obsessed with her sister 'sleepy sacks' as she calls them. Often we have found one that may have been hanging up to dry or was ready to be put away in clean drawer being dragged around the house with her.

Jo Jo Maman Bebe go up to age 4.

I had the same problem finding them as I have a tall child and he's outgrown most of them around age 2. I found some in EBay that were a German make that were quite long but otherwise got them from Jo Jo.

The TKMaxx by me had these in yesterday! Good price too!

Sleeping bags for 2+ years?
121gigawatts · 27/02/2023 21:01

Oh thanks @FTM2022SS I have a tk max very close by and at £10 thats a bargain! Ill have a look. I find that I can get the larger sizes cheaper. I used to always get from next and the 18-24 month ones were always in sale or clearance as not many use them at that age, bonus for me! The only ones I can see on Jojo maman in 2-3 years are like the all in one suit and I know she won't like them. Maybe I'm not looking correctly. But

You can shop online at TK Maxx too if that's any good?

Merrow · 28/02/2023 06:58

The grobag 18-36 months ones are a good size, my very tall toddler was in them until 2 and a half and could have had them longer if he hadn't needed to be out the cot (without the sides I wanted him to be able to walk around safely).

UnaVaca · 28/02/2023 07:01

I just got some from H&M

121gigawatts · 01/03/2023 08:45

Thanks all. I have ordered some from John Lewis in the style she likes with the straps and poppers over the shoulders. 2 for £25 which isn't bad! Thanks for all your suggestions.
