Any ideas on how to earn £100-200 a month when you work full-time?

All advices given in this forum for money saving are really good, especially in this credit crunch environment!
I am full-working mum with 2 years old DS and also full-time working DH. The vast majority of our salaries goes to mortgage/bills/daily expenses and childcare costs, not to mention that our special treats are kept to very minimum. So I decided that I need some extra work, which I have never done before? I don?t need much extra, I just want to have my spare little cash for a haircut, coffee in Starbucks or my favourite meal ? sushi.
Having in mind that I work full-time and have a child to take care after work, I can only do something late evenings or weekends. I tried online surveys but it takes like half a year to build up £40? I am thinking to offer babysitting services by dropping leaflets in neighbouring streets, also maybe to do some home typing (?) or independent courier (?)? Is there any job that would earn me £25-50 a week without having to spend all my spare time for it? Perhaps I am naïve.. but that is life and that?s how you learn to live.
Thank you for any sort of advice.

Have you thought of doing Usborne?

I'm earning good money around the kids, and I have a variety of people in my team.

You could take in a student if you have a spare room? For the record, I do it and make a lot more than what you are aiming for Smile

I marked exam papers at one stage to pay for our summer holidays.
I also write for pay and that can fit around things.
Someone put notes through the doors in our street this week offering dog walking services or any animal care. People adverise children's parties for £200 per go. Someone paid me for life coaching which was quite well paid.

eBay worked for me. I started off buying grobags and bumbos at car boot & nearly new sales when on mat leave 6 years ago and selling them on eBay.

6 years down the line I haven't had to go back to work as I have my own shop on there selling large cup size bras.
It's a case of finding a niche and then running with it. It works really well because I can close for every school holiday and then reopen.
You just have to analyse every penny spent on purchasing, paypal eBay fees and postage when you first start to figure out what makes money.

xenia who do you work for when you say you write for pay? I have a D.Phil in English Lit from Oxford and I teach English Lit at the University of East Anglia. I have written plenty of academic articles, etc, and when I was a student I wrote a few travel pieces for The Independent. I would love to write for pay - anything, no matter how unglamorous - and could really do with the extra cash. We're in negative equity and I'm looking for something I can do to start overpaying on the mortgage.

ebayaddict, i hope you don't mind me asking but do you buy the items you sell wholesale? Its just i have often thought of finding 'something' to sell-on on ebay. But apart from not actually knowing what to sell i am never quite sure where to look to find something!!!

Well done by the way, for making your business a great successSmile

Don't know if you're creative, but I once bought a "Hallowe'en Children's Party" on Ebay, which was like a murder mystery party, only with no murder (more of a solving clues to find treasure). The woman who did this had obviously devised the characters and the storyline, and put all the documents you needed onto a CD, then sold these for about £10. It was really good, and my 9 year olds had a fantastic time. So you could maybe think up something like that to sell, if you have spare time?
