jJust found out I can get a Costco membership. Nearest one is 20 miles away (and next to Trafford Centre so a nightmare drive)
Would you recommend it?

Ours is around 25 miles away, I’d say the petrol saving is great . I go once a month and fill up my car. I watched a women on yt and she was telling you what was worth buying . She bought her months worth of milk there and froze it . She said it was so
much cheaper than anywhere else. I got my kids iPads there on. Black Friday , they were very good value and cheaper than anywhere else

We have one about 10 miles away near Chester . We go usually about every couple of months . We buy all our toilet rolls and kitchen rolls there plus lots of other kitchen stuff . Their thick bleach is every bit as good as domestos and is very much cheaper . In the summer it’s good for garden stuff and I love their Christmas stuff .

How much kitchen roll and how many toilet rolls do people use?

Drdogooder · 22/02/2026 21:08

Yes - but be selective

Well varying amounts obviously but the point is that it's excellent value and good quality.

It's not like it goes off and unless you have literally no storage, it's not an issue. Our toilet roll lives under the bed. We don't buy kitchen roll because we don't use that much of it.

I don't think the milk is that much cheaper than everywhere else that it's worth filling your freezer with it.

Agree with PPs that you need to be selective. If you're on a budget and normally shop at Aldi or Lidl you might not save, but if you like the extra variety and can afford a few well priced luxuries then it's worth it. I bought a huge bag of scallops not so long ago, there's also a good selection of Asian frozen food, samosas, dim sum etc that are nice to have in. We often use those to make a home made curry or noodle dish a bit more interesting.
