£150k+ but only if part of a dual income home with an additional income on top of this. Despite what Liebour think it is not wealthy.

For a single person household £150k is just OK when you take into account childcare (no vouchers), rent, mortgage + bills + pension contributions + savings. It would take a few years of earning this to build up any kind of a savings buffer / save a deposit as a single person / build up pensions contributions.

No I don't earn this salary level myself but I have seen the sums.

Per person over 100k, couple over 180k ish but obviously a couple on 180k with no kids would feel well off presumably. 180k with 3 or 4 kids etc might be just rolling along reasonably comfortably. So many variables, where they live, mortgage ir not etc

100k for me, single income

What matters is your disposable income not gross salary. Many friends in London don't have 2 pennies to rub together despite earning six figure salaries.

Of course you do..

200k because of the way tax works between £100-£125k plus the extra tax at £150k. £10k a month take home would be comfortable for a nice place in London, with savings for rainy day and holidays, nice car rental, eat out once a week etc

£10k won't get you a nice place in London anymore..

Three figures....

Per person
