Anyone experienced this company and does it save on bills? Any catches? Thanks

Well it's an MLM so no doubt the energy deals you're getting are overpriced. As it's just being used to fund the top of a pyramid and rip off thousands of people at the bottom trying to sell their shitty contracts.

Sprogonthetyne · 16/12/2025 17:36

I was with them for a couple of years. Changed when energy prices peeked and no one we're offering anything below the base rate a couple of years ago. At the time I did save by having multiple utilitieswith them. The phone and Internet were slightly more but meant I got a discount on the gas & electricity, so an overall saving.

It was fine, not really any better or worse then any other energy company. I had good intentions of also using the cash back card, but kept forgetting, but that's on me not them.

Daughter has just signed up with them - saving £450 per year on a mix of Mobile phones, TV packages, Broad Band, Gas and Electric so savings of £37.50 per month. They also pay your exit fees if you are in a contract.

I have actually found them excellent as an energy provider - I had never heard of them but moved into a house where they were the existing supplier, gave them a go and I'm very pleased. I never have the same issues with overestimates/bill errors/constantly rising direct debits for no reason that I did with other suppliers. They in fact just automatically refund you once a year if in credit. It's not true that they're and MLM or that their energy deals are priced higher, not sure where PP got that from.

They're an MLM with pushy sales people who try to recruit you to join their business (hence people saying it's an MLM!), in my experience

Google UW and MLM...

I have come across their sales people at various events (school fetes, county show, sports tournaments etc. ) and always found them pretty hard sell and difficult to extract myself from. I don't have lots of services, so as their main USP is bundling lots of services together I have never looked into the value of the offering. But it strikes me that anyone that forceful at selling the sign up is going to be similarly difficult to switch away from,

We’re with them and find them really good - their call centre is answered by actual humans in the UK and I’ve found them really helpful.

We’ve had issues with them. Started off well but started with a smart energy meter they installed that had faulty wiring and nearly burned down our house. They would only give us £250 in compensation but get this, they have been charging us over £100 for phone and broadband. Wed moved from ultra broadband to super fast fibre 500’and forgot to cancel the ultra. I thought the bills were expensive as it went up to over £800 at one point for about 12 months (for gas/electricity/phone line/broadband/ a couple of sims. Anyway after MANY phone calls they are reimbursing £1700 worth of broadband (more than the faulty smart meter) more than the dodgy smart meter. I need to phone them today as they are charging us £50 per month for broadband when equivalent on even their own website is is £35 now (and their mantra is always to get you the best deal but they don’t). I’ve been asking friends about their bills and we paying way over the odds at £557 for those services! We are going to move as it’s not a good deal at all! They’ll be fine once they hook you but my experience is they shaft you with super high charges over time. We started out at £238, peaked at over £800 and now being charged £557. We had to do the running and our bill will go down to £450 but it’s way above what our friends are paying in other companies! Their customer service are good on calls but they don’t follow through eg said they email our agreements via emails but never did put anything we’d agreed In writing. So if you switch to then, keep an eye if the bill starts creeping up! Also if you have an electric vehicle they’ll only give you cheap tariff between12-5 am. It used to be 12-7 am but they switch you to higher rate during the day! Cowboys!

LIZS · 17/12/2025 11:48

We’ve been with them for over ten years. No issues, responsive and cheaper than BG et al. Just moved over a breakdown and service contract which was much cheaper but not yet needed to use it.

YouOKHun · 17/12/2025 14:15

Very iffy. Lots of people get dragged in by someone in their social circle and as @Jeezowhyisittoughover time it can prove expensive. The MLM aspect means that some very vulnerable people end up being persuaded by friends and family to sign up when it is not in their best interests. It’s very unethical. Which magazine has acknowledged that it was unwise to promote them given the way it’s sold which, of course, in consumer surveys, produced false positive reviews (where the customers are also the sellers).

whiteroseredrose · 17/12/2025 19:08

We have been with them for decades and can vouch for good service. They are of the top or near the top of Which? Reviews.
