Smart meter..how much per day usage

We've just got a smart meter and I'm a little obsessed with checking it 😂 can't believe how much it shoots up when the tumble dryer is on!

We have just fixed at 6.09ptence per kWh gas and 24.6pencer per kWh with electricity.

Approx how much do others use at the moment?

We are around £3 a day for gas and electric together. Gad heated water in a hot water tank, electric shower. Tumble dryer but no dishwasher

6 people, 3 bed.

I'm obsessed with ours too!

We are all electric and have solar panels. Our worst day was £1.80 and the lowest 48p.

Household of four.

For us it's the shower that makes the biggest difference. I'm also on the agile tariff so it's a different price every half hour. I don't think that will work come October when we put storage heaters on so I'll go back to economy 7 (and then probably cry about how much more it is!)

Excluding standing charges last week I made more in export than it cost. This week is close but will need a decent day tomorrow.

Probably not helpful as we are comparing different things but you are definitely not alone in the obsession!

Since the price hikes, I rarely use the tumble dryer - apart from heating, it's the biggest power hog. Ours was £3 yesterday - three adults in a Victorian three bed house. I did some laundry and was cooking all afternoon (gas cooker), but obviously no heating. Showers (gas Combi boiler)and an ironing session too.

Last two years, I have cut right back on the (gas) heating. Used too have it on whenever I wanted, but no more. Last winter, held out until November, and most days only had it on for an hour or so in the morning and a couple of hours in the evening. Some days, it was on a lot more.

We average 12kwh electricity summer weekends, but about 15kwh weekdays with two of us WFH. This will go up to between 15-20 in the winter with lights on more and dehumidifier on most days.

5 bed/3bath 1930s semi, 1 adult + 4 kids.

My new house has topup meters with ovo and I'm putting on about £100 per week on electricity and £100 every 2 weeks on the gas so about £600 per month in total, or £20 per day.

I'd like to switch to direct debit but I've rang them and they said that someone would call me back in 24 hours. That was a week ago.

I was paying £250 per month electricity for the old house (extended 1960s bungalow, 6 bed/4bath) and about £150 per month in heating oil as there was no gas.
