Meal money during holidays

We live in a London borough and my 2 youngest go to school here so I get the £15 per week for each of them during the holidays. I was getting this for my eldest but he started college in a different borough so I've not had them at all for him this year. Surely this isn't fair he is 17 still in full time education and eats me out of house and home lol I'm not sure who to ask about it I feel kinda lost. He is still entitled to free school meals at collage so surely I should be entitled to it

It's a council funded thing.
Not a government funded thing and government haven't "taken anything away".

Ask your local council why they are no longer issuing vouchers/funds.

Probably because the LAs haven't been given any/enough funds from central government this year to support it. The funds don't come from the LAs (unless they decide to top it up) they just distribute it.

I'm really shocked by the comments I've received!
My son does get pip he is disabled he is doing a course at collage that meets his needs. I haven't written him off at all he just has very limited options and so getting a part time summer job just isn't happening
I honestly don't see why this is a massive issue and why everyone has an opinion on my situation when they don't know it!
I simply asked a question

Contact your LA and ask why they haven't given you the vouchers then. We are all guessing because as you state we don't know your circumstances or which Borough you fall under, so can't say what their rules are for claiming the vouchers. You are asking MN but unless you give more info no-one can say! As has already been pointed out it's down to each LA to decide how it's distributed. Maybe you no longer qualify under your LA's rules given his age.

If he can complete a college course he can work

Your ignorance is something else.
Fwiw there are college courses for every ability level, including teenagers/young people who are non verbal.

I am not ignorant at all, but I do get a bit fed up of parents making the decision for their child that they will never work, when 90% of the children who have this decision made for them actually can.

I think it was a concession that most councils have stopped now.
