Getting someone to sit down with you and help you budget can be really useful. Also if you have any debts you are repaying (this is typically why people really struggle? Stepchange, CAP or similar can help get your payments manageable.

On full benefits you should be ok financially if you can get the above help. I have a relative with serious disability and they are ok financially on state benefits now they are all set up properly.

Agree with all the above. Assuming you get UC, make sure your claim is always up to date and reflects your circumstances. That makes sure you get your basic entitlement and any one off help, eg extra cost of living payments.

The Moneysavingexpert weekly newsletter is always really good at highlighting other help available eg if you're on UC you can get a social broadband tariff and the Help to Save account.

Plus if you struggle to pay your utility bills there may be extra help available there. Or if you have certain medical conditions there's special schemes for water bills.

But yes, if you struggle with setting a budget or sorting accounts and making sure things get paid on time if there's anyone in real life who can help then just ask them.

I am sure you get rebate on water bill, also exemption from council tax. Have you claimed that. Also my relative owns a flat so they get money for the service charges.

Many broadband providers do special packages although I think they are relatively low speed.
