Everyone can churn out a list of all the free activities that people could do but I'd love more actual, real life activities that people have planned or have just done that was a hit.
It doesn't have to only involve kids and can be ideas for adults too.

Any offers or deals that people have come across would be great too.

It's tough scrimping and saving (and this affects most of us these days, regardless of income levels) but our kids and us should still be able to enjoy our lives and have some fun.

National lottery open week 9-17th March. Lots of places they have given funding to give free entry to anyone with a ticket or scratch card (from £1). Includes a National trust, English heritage and RSPB nature reserves.

It's a good time to think about planting stuff if you have a garden.
I'm thinking about strawberries, tomatoes and some herbs this year so I'll be doing my research.
If you don't have a garden, herbs in the window sill would work.

Enjoying this thread. Libraries are one of our best resources, if we don't use them we lose them. I've got into audiobooks when driving. Also you can access magazines for free on an app, think it's called Libby.

Dc can research recipes and help cook depending on age, and you haven't spent more than you would have apart from shopping for groceries. And it's a skill for life.
