Am I better off on benefits?

Partner works 45 hours a week earns £600, I work 24 hrs earn £300 a week but we're both really struggling.

Rent , childcare , utilities , insurance , everything has gone up.

We have nothing left once our bills go out and usually in arrears.

Would we be better off claiming UC? If I reduced my hours to 16 hrs a week?

I'm a single parent to 3 children.
I work full time and earn £35,000
I get £1500 a month in benefts because my rent alone is £2100 a month. That still leaves me with very little after all my bills and utilities and travel. I no longer run a car because I can afford it.
My rent has gone up and up over the last few years. I am STUCK here in this house and situation because I cannot move to a smaller property. I no longer meet the eligability to rent anywhere else. No one will touch me as I am " on benefits " despite working a 40 hour week and on paper I cannot afford to pay the rent and wont pass the financial checks.
If my LL decides to sell I have actually no where to go. NO WHERE....
So yes, I earn a not terrible salary and claim benefits.

OP as you rent you can claim and STILL work. If you do that you will be entitles to more. Stopping work is ridiculous
