No spend January?

There used to be no spend threads every month on here although I appreciate Dec is a hard one. For me I am going to try not to overspend this month and clear off the credit card in full again as it was zero balance up till xmas.

Anyone else with me?
Stilly possibly to class Christmas day as a no spend but that was my day one and I spent nothing yesterday either.

Catalogue account now clear and staying gone at 44.9%!! 😦Another Credit card paid off at 30.34% - and chipping away now at the next highest interest one now. Progress is soooooooooooo slow!!! 😴

Amazing @Rainbow1901 ! That is impressive work.
This month we cash funded our flights abroad next month (visiting elderly family) and paid a large unexpected bill without going into debt - so I’d say we saved at least £750! Just done my budget for Feb, it will be spendy as we’re away for a week but hoping to be frugal around that so we don’t use the credit cards!
Thanks for the new thread @Psychoticbreak 😃 see you over there!

Well done @Rainbow1901 that’s great progress.

this has been a good month for resetting my spending. I’ve not saved much money as I’ve had planned spends but I’ve managed to pay for these with regular cash flow. Flights and accommodation booked in Paris, a decorator and supplies paid for. I’ve also listed all the things I want for the house for summer and realised how much I need to save per month if I want to buy them. Previously I’d have just got them and worried about it later. All that did was make me worry about money when really I shouldn’t be.

today I made the classic mistake of going shopping while hungry. Couple of extras snuck in but €25 spent on a top up shop for the week. We’ve a bank holiday this weekend and might have people over for dinner but I’ve planned a menu based on what’s in the house so shouldn’t cost extra.

I've fallen off the thread the last couple of weeks, but have stuck with no/low spend. I've ended the month having paid £720 for roof work and still more in my bank account than at the end of December! So it's definitely helped and I'm going to try and carry on into February although I'm going to allow myself a couple of cinema trips etc to keep my sanity. One happy bonus has been getting more creative in the kitchen with random ingredients at the back of the pantry. Hope to continue that too. Well done all of us!!!
