Gym charging different amounts

Can a gym charge different amounts based on area?

if my daughter and I join a gym in Essex, it’s £204 a month. If we joined in Stevenage (where my did lives) it would be £104 a month for the same membership. Are gyms allowed to do this? I can find both prices out on the same website. It seems so wrong!

£5 is a bit different to £100 hence the question…lol 🙄

Lol… ok then fitness first membership in my “home” gym was £55 a month. When I go into central london it’s £100 a month. I have to pay the £100 a month cost to access the gyms I want. I’m just shocked that a grown adult thinks this shouldn’t be allowed 😂😂😂

A premier inn in London is more than double the price of one in the midlands.

As others have said - of course they can! Demand will be different in each area, and it's also likely that the gyms have slightly different facilities (more floorspace so more machines, for example). But even if they were identical in every way, this is how capitalism works.

Are you sure your 10 year old is allowed to go to the gym?
