If you’re always freezing. Oodies are worth the money!

So, I’m one of those people that is constantly freezing. Always colder than everyone else! If I had my way I’d live with heating on 23/24.. perfect.

Obviously can’t afford that now and have seen all the hype about oodies but ignored. Had several cheaper ones over last couple of years.

Got a friend with a real one and always just eyed it up thinking it must be a pain to wash and take up entire machine.

Anyway, I caved and got one. Let me tell all my fellow ice cubes that they are absolutely worth the money.

They will almost make you sweat! They can warm you up and keep you warm when you thought it was impossible. They allow you to sit in rooms that are not warm and be relatively ok.

It is freezing cold here today and I’m not even cold! It’s a miracle.

I also think they should make black ones and a bit shorter that you could go to shop in etc. They are amazing but so massive they cannot pass for a fleece. They stand out too much as nightware.

They are very thick and heavy compared to the cheaper fleecy ones. They the outer is more velvety and doesn’t do that foul thing of matting up and being a magnet for things to stick to like cheap fleece does.

Truly, truly, I say to you, buy a real oodie ( or something you know is made exactly the same) and the winter will seem a little less daunting.

Probs get accused of working for oodie but if I can reach just one cold soul then I’ve done enough 😂

If you prefer, there are sellers on eBay selling customer returns and factory seconds Oodies which are great value and good if you don't generally like buying new stuff (especially if that new thing also happens to be a huge pile of polyester). I caved (normally all about the natural fibres) and have never felt toastier.

I'm tempted to get one, but how do you dry them after you wash them? 24 hours in the drier?

I only wash mine in summer 😂 dries quickly on the line!

I have bought my daughter and son in law one each for Christmas. One took three weeks, the one I ordered on Sunday came on Wednesday.

I got the threepoodle knockoff oodie and it's soooo nice! I walk my dog in it at night and live in it, I have the grey one with cats and am ordering the yellow dog one for when this one is washing 🤗

CherryogDog · 01/12/2023 07:43

I got one from the £5 place, (it was £15 Inc postage), it's a return or second, really warm but I walk round the house knocking things over because it's so bulky 😄
Perfect for lounging around on the sofa.
I'll see if I can find the link.

I have a Costco 'comfy' and it's incredible. I've got 2 other cheap ones from Tesco and Lidl and I wouldn't have bought them if I'd understood how superior the Costco one was!

I love mine, I bought a family pack back in August 2020 (and even that summer delivery took 3 weeks)!

Unfortunately, being menopausal, I can only wear it for a nanosecond before I reach temperatures rivalled only by the surface of the Sun.

I can fit 2 in my washing machine and 1 in my dryer, but my family live in them in winter. They all work from home, and sod paying a fortune to Eon by keeping the heating on.

Objectrelations · 01/12/2023 07:53

I have a Dunelm one and as a fellow ice cube I can happily report it is super warm!! It was £15.

MooseAndSquirrelLoveFlannel · 01/12/2023 07:54

They're too thick for me, I gave mine away. I prefer the Primark ones, keeps me warm but not too warm and not sweating. I hate feeling too wrapped up.

Icantbelieveitsnot · 01/12/2023 07:55

I have one and love it so much that I have just bought an outdoor one (slimmer version)to replace my old coat. Can't wait to receive it. Some times delivery can take a long time which is not what we as consumers are used to these days but having ordered from them several time I have grown to expect it and don't mind waiting as I know it will be good when it comes.

PaddingtonsHat · 01/12/2023 08:38

I have washed and tumble dried mine with no issue

That sounds wonderful today though!

cottonstar · 01/12/2023 10:45

I agree but I get too hot in mine even on the coldest days so I’m tempted to buy a cheap one which will be thinner!
